2 days to go to the Fiji International Jazz & Blues Festival, Port Denarau Fiji.
Musicians from around the world will again travel to Fiji for 4 days of great music with a line-up that
includes stars of the jazz and blues worlds from Australia, New Zealand, England, the United States, New Caledonia as well as Fiji’s own incredibly talented local bands.
Festival Director Billy Te Kahika adds, ‘I dont want this to sound like a sales pitch but I intend this
next festival to be bigger, brighter and better than our first event as a way of really leaving no doubt
that our brand of Jazz and Blues festival is the premier music event of the pacific’.
Artists confirmed already for 2012 include a repeat visit by the iconic Australian guitar hero Kevin
Borich, acoustic maestro Paul Ubana Jones from the UK, NZ Blues guitarist Billy TK jnr, Organ
guru Michel Benebig from New Caledonia and Fijian artists Dejavu and Tom Mawi, Fiji’s very own
George Benson’ along with Australian bands The Dorothy Jane Gosper Blues Band and
Melbourne’s slick Jazz pianist and singer, Jade Leonard.
The festival includes a great free programme at Port Denarau Retail Center and 2 ticketed events
at the stunning the Denarau Golf and Racket Lawn and a royal Gala dinner at the Sheraton Fiji
events center.
